6 Seasonal Recipes to Fall For

A Scorpio Recommends

As the air gets crisp, the days grow dark, and the smell of pumpkin spice lingers in your dreams or nightmares - we step into a time of bold transformations, both in the stars AND in the kitchen… that’s right, it’s Scorpio season, baby. Here are a few of my personal recommendations for some cozy, delicious, and straightforward recipes that are sure to bring out the scorpion within!*

Whipped Goat Cheese with Warm Candied Bacon and Dates (Half Baked Harvest)

Warm up on a chilly evening with a spicy starter. Ever dated a Scorpio? I’m sorry. Also, you’re welcome. This appetizer is creamy, rich, and the different flavors will pop with every bite. Top this with fresh or candied jalapenos for that fiery kick!

Grilled Grape Salad with Arugula and Romaine (Kathy Carmichael)

This unexpected combo of salty and sweet is the perfect reflection of the multitudes a Scorpio can bring. Bright grapes and pomegranates contrast with savory nuts, cauliflower, cucumbers, and pickled onions in this unique autumnal salad.

Taiwanese-American Chicken Pot Pie (Little Fat Boy)

For the longest time, I thought of pot pie to be a forgettable frozen food that either took 90 seconds in the microwave or 90 minutes in the oven to cook. A client unexpectedly requested one during the holidays, and I kept thinking that the leftovers would be great with rice and chili crisp. This family-style fusion dish, as the author says, is a creation inspired by a “hypothetical Taiwanese grandma.” Combining classic techniques but adding new flavors makes this old classic exciting again. After all, is there anything garlic, ginger, and scallions CAN’T improve?

Julia Child’s Beef Bourguignon (Bev Cooks)

Sometimes what we really want is a comforting dish to wrap us up in a cozy embrace. What better way to embrace our inner Scorpio and indulge in what we love most, than with a recipe from the Queen herself? While it can be intimidating, this adaptation breaks down each step so you can be a master chef in no time!

Shredded Thai Carrot Salad with Peanuts (allrecipes)

Some of the best sides may be simple at first glance, but they’re packed with fall flavors that surprise and delight. Scorpios are known for their ability to see beneath the surface, and this humble salad is sure to deliver more than meets the eye. Also, I f***ing love carrots.

Browned Butter Apple Upside-Down Cake (Karlee Flores)

Regardless of your sign, if you are like me, then you find certain sweets to be utterly irresistible. In my house, this is often anything that serves as a vehicle for vanilla bean ice cream. Much like a delicious dessert after a beautiful meal, Scorpios are bound to leave a lasting impression.
